Background

Mark was elected unopposed as Secretary in October 2008. Mark began full time work in the union movement as an Organiser with the Tasmanian branch of the Liquor Trades Union (now Liquor, Hospitality & Miscellaneous Workers Union). Mark also worked as a trainer with the Trade Union Training Authority (TUTA).

Mark joined Labor Council in 1988 and has held the positions of Training Officer, Industrial Officer, Organiser and Assistant Secretary prior to becoming the secretary.
